The society is in a constant change. Everything should become faster, better and more efficient.
The 8Zeit (infinite time) magazine shows how the increasingly extreme social characteristics affect on the private lives of the editors. They question the society and themselves, as a part of it.
Issue 1 focuses cosmetic surgery. People try to stop the transience of their body, at least superficially. They strive for timelessness of the optical, but sometimes it expands to the unnatural. The preservation of the youth is now available for the broad mass of the society. Dealing with cosmetic surgery is becoming more reckless, even with small stains people put themselves under the knife. It seems to provide an escape from yourself – an attempt to clean the psyche.
Meanwhile, plastic surgery has become part of our culture. A lifted face or some inflated breasts are partially seen as a status symbol.
8Zeit plays with the idea of plastic surgery in a "do-it-yourself" format.
